Allan Saint-Maximin's attacking efficiency at Damac: Against the club.
Allan Saint-Maximin is a French professional footballer who currently plays as a winger for Ligue 1 club Monaco and the France national team. He has made a name for himself in European football, having played for several top clubs including Newcastle United, West Ham United, and now Damac Sports Club.
Saint-Maximin was born on May 24, 1995, in Toulouse, France. He began his career with local club FC Auch before moving to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) academy in 2013. In 2017, he signed for English Premier League side Newcastle United, where he established himself as one of their most valuable players. During his time at Newcastle, Saint-Maximin won the Premier League title twice and also helped the club reach the UEFA Europa League final in 2020.
However, after just three years at Newcastle, Saint-Maximin joined West Ham United on loan in January 2021. Despite being unable to help the Hammers avoid relegation back to the Championship, Saint-Maximin showed his potential by scoring 11 goals and providing 16 assists in just 38 appearances for the club.
In July 2021, Saint-Maximin returned to his native France and joined Damac Sports Club, a newly established sports company based in Dubai. The move came after Saint-Maximin expressed his desire to play in Europe again and compete against the best players in the world.
At Damac, Saint-Maximin has been playing under new manager Christophe Pélissier, who has praised the player's versatility and ability to score from anywhere on the pitch. Under Pélissier, Saint-Maximin has started every match so far this season, scoring two goals and assisting four others in eight league games.
Despite facing competition from other talented wingers such as Paulo Dybala and Adama Traoré at Damac, Saint-Maximin has shown that he can still be a key player for the club. With his attacking efficiency and skillset, Saint-Maximin is likely to continue making waves in European football for many more seasons to come.
